Some of the objectives of the project were to make a story from a total of 25 minutes of clips while making it engaging. The other objective was editing and it was to edit the clips and make them look natural, in which I used premiere pro for the first time. The final objective was to be able to make an entertaining short video from a variety of clips with an understandable. Overall I learned a lot just from this project, for example getting rid of shots that are too long. Before the project I didn’t care about the length of shots and did them as is, but after, I actually started paying attention to shots that are too long and reducing them so they’re engaging. I also learned to only include entertaining/engaging shots so the video doesn’t become boring. Another thing I learned is in editing and it was to be able to make a video seem natural and not make it seem weird in transitioning and just overall how to video seemed. And the last thing I learned was to significantly shorten a video that was too long by getting rid of all the extra shots and shots that have no correlation to the story while still maintaining the same storyline. In conclusion, if I was to do this project all over again, I would change up the storyline while still maintaining a natural feel to the video. And the alternate storyline that I would use is the criminal getting away.

The objectives of this project were to advertise anything that you want so that it can persuade the audience into buying the product. This also leads into the second which was to make the commercial engaging by not including shots that are too long. The final objective was to be able to have the ability to record really good shots with a camera. For this project. This was my favorite project to make and I learned a lot from it. The first thing I learned was being able to record and film, because I never had the experience of recording actual shots to make up one big video. Another major thing I learned was having the experience of a director, by keeping track of the filming, and basically leading my friends throughout the times we filmed. The final thing I learned was advertisement, being able to really promote a product. Such as making very engaging and interesting so the consumer is engaged in the ad and is interested in potentially buying the product. Which also leads to the final thing I learned which as in editing it was being able to really engaging and interesting video that’ll lure the audience into getting the project. If I was to do this project again I’ll for sure film it in a different location because i didn’t like the court we filmed at, and I would also manage the time more wisely.

Semester 1

The main objective of this project was to create a new opening intro to be used in our school’s weekly news. Another objective of this project was to film shots for our reels that displayed diversity and interconnection in our high school. The final objective of this project was to be able to edit all the clips from other people’s reels, including yours to make an opening for the school weekly news. From this project, I developed a sense of awareness of including both males and females and every one of different ethnicity in my public filming of people. So it doesn’t seem too unjust and doesn’t include all sorts of people. I also learned to create a collage or mixture of videos for an opening or intro to something which was fun to learn about. The final thing I learned from this project is that the opening or intro is basically like a short summary or overview of what the video is about or going to be about. If I had the chance to do this project all over again, I would take it without hesitation because I would film more of diversity in my reel because it didn’t have many. I would also include more of the things that happened this year in my final product, like including some moments of our football team winning state and homecoming.

The primary objective of this project was to be capable of demonstrating how to perform something with really good instructions. This also leads to the other objective which was being able to explain instructions really well. And the final objective, which was to film the steps that go along with the instructions while not making the shots repetitive. This project really improved my knowledge of creating a tutorial video and I also learned from it. The first thing I learned from making this project, was creating a tutorial in general because I never made one before so it was a first-hand learning experience and I didn’t expect much from my finished product. I also learned how to film a step-by-step instructions video with separate clips, which was challenging trying to keep nothing unchanged from scene to scene. The final thing I’ve learned was being able to instruct the steps for doing something really well without the person watching getting confused. If I had the option to redo this entire project again, I would do it without hesitation and change many things about it because I wasn’t happy with the finished product. I would begin by completely changing what I would instruct to do so it can be longer and to include a variety of shots because it was very plain and boring. I would also change the location because the one I used was interesting and I didn’t like it.
