REFLECTION

SEMESTER 1

My reflection on this semester is that it went pretty well, even though I struggled a bit I think it went well. Throughout this entire semester, I learned a lot of things. For example, I learned to be able to create an opening or intro to something which in the future I'll use for my YouTube channel. Another thing I learned is to record clips and put them together to create a commercial or demonstration video. I'll definitely use this in the future when I start making short films, by outlining the film's story then shooting and editing it. I also learned to manage the video's length and make sure it wasn't unengaging. I would use this in the future by making sure the video is interesting and engaging. If I was to do this entire semester again, I would completely change 3 of my projects which are reducing time, demonstration, and the Falcon Weekly opening. For reducing time, I would change the plot of the story and create a different storyline. For demonstration, I would also change what I would demonstrate because the one I chose was too short and challenging to instruct. And finally, for my weekly opening, I would include more clips of throughout the year in it and include more clips because it seemed plain.

SEMESTER 2

My reflection on the second semester is that even with the time struggle I had this semester, I think I still pulled through and did the best I can with each project. Although I think I did good, I could’ve definitely done better for half of these. If I had the chance to do this semester again I think I would change what  I would demonstrate and make it unique because I didn’t really like it. I also think I would’ve changed the topic I did for the final project to a short film because it’s what I’m really into. I think learning what I would’ve done differently is useful so in the future so I can plan way ahead and think about what it’ll potentially look like with options that I have and I also think I could do rough cuts so I don’t end up thinking differently about the final product. In the end I learned many things from each project, learned how to apply effects making the video look a certain way to my desire. Which I can use in the future to make a video unique and not boring and plain.
