One Perfect Shot
One Perfect Shot
Length: 3 min
Film Status: Completed & Published
"One Perfect shot" is my first short film that I created - I wrote, filmed, and edited the film. I first planned it out in late July 2024, but wasn't able to begin filming it until mid August 2024. I spent a total of 3 days traveling around town and filming in locations I considered scenic, until I was satisfied with what I had. I then edited the film for the next 3 months, since I never worked with log footage, before rushing a release in December 2024.
Rhamy is a photographer and he shoots on film. When he grabs his camera to go take photos, he realizes there's only 1 shot left. As a result, he spends the whole day searching for a scenic location where he can take the "perfect shot".
Inspired from Charlie Chaplin and pantomimes, I wanted my first project to be a silent that focuses on the scenes and body language as well as evoke emotions through it too. I also wanted the music to play an important role in the film, so I specific ones in each of the three parts. As I was able to use it to guide the audience's mood/emotions through out it.
